The Institution's Innovation Cell (IIC) of Cluny Women's College organized an Awareness Programme and Panel Discussion on Entrepreneurship and MSME Opportunities with Regional Ecosystem Enablers on 5 August 2026 at Declan Hall. The programme was attended by Principal Dr. Sr. Pushpa Michael, faculty members, and students from all semesters.
The session was conducted by Mr. Sandip Kumar Moi, General Manager, District Industrial Centre (DIC), Kalimpong, and Mr. Samrap Lepcha, who introduced participants to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and the opportunities available through the MSME sector. The speakers highlighted key aspects of business planning, SWOT analysis, Detailed Project Report (DPR) preparation, fixed and working capital, Udyam Registration, MUDRA Loans, and various government schemes designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs.
The programme concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, during which students enthusiastically responded to questions posed by the resource persons, reflecting their keen interest and understanding of the topics discussed. The session inspired participants to view entrepreneurship as a promising career path and encouraged them to transform innovative ideas into successful enterprises.
