The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among the college community. The event was graced by Mr. Bishnu Chettri, Chairman of the Krishak Welfare Organization, Kalimpong, who highlighted the importance of utilizing barren land in the hills through fruit cultivation and sustainable farming practices. He encouraged students to contribute towards environmental conservation by planting fruit-bearing trees.
On the occasion, orange saplings were distributed among students and staff members as part of a natural orange farming initiative. Dr. Sr. Binita Rai, President of the Governing Body of Cluny Women’s College, represented the Principal and emphasized the need for collective efforts in protecting the environment. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment towards building a greener and more sustainable future.
