On 3 July 2026, Cluny Women's College, Kalimpong, in collaboration with its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), observed the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee with a Memorial Lecture at Declan Hall. Organised under the Government of West Bengal’s "Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Fortnight," the event featured a keynote address by Dr. Amlan Lahiri (Head of the Department of Sociology), who detailed Dr. Mookerjee's vital role in creating West Bengal, championing national integration, and shaping modern India. Attended by the Principal, Dr. Sr. Pushpa Michael, along with faculty and students, the solemn occasion allowed the college community to reflect on his ideals of patriotism and selfless service, while Dr. Kaushik Roy successfully anchored the event as the Master of Ceremonies.
