23 September 2026: The Department of Geography, Cluny Women’s College, organised a departmental seminar on “Environment and Sustainability.” The seminar provided a platform to explore contemporary environmental concerns and the geographical perspectives of sustainable development.
The seminar witnessed active participation from both faculty members and students, who enthusiastically engaged in discussions and presented insightful papers on various dimensions of sustainable development. The presentations highlighted important issues including environmental sustainability, resource management, climate change and sustainable development, enriching the participants’ understanding of contemporary environmental challenges, their geographical implications, and possible measures for mitigation, resilience, and sustainable development.
The programme provided a meaningful academic learning experience and encouraged greater awareness of the need for sustainable and responsible approaches towards the environment.
