The NSS Units I & II of Cluny Women’s College, Kalimpong organised a Flag Hoisting Ceremony on the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day. Principal Dr. Sr. Pushpa Michael hoisted the National Flag in the presence of faculty, students and staff, followed by the National Anthem and National Song.
In her address, the Principal reflected on the inequalities and social divisions that continue to exist despite India’s freedom, and encouraged students to practise kindness, respect, equality and humanity in their daily lives while fostering friendship and unity among all.
The ceremony was coordinated by Mrs. Phup Kesang Bhutia, NSS Coordinator and Head, Department of Geography.
