Facilities in Cluny Women's College

1. Library

After admission, a student has to produce her fee receipt to the librarian for collecting the library card within the notified time.

Library Services:

The college library provides the following services to optimize the utilization of the reading materials held in the library collection.

  • Reference service
  • E-Library for student and teachers for research with inflibnet facility.
  • An open access system for the student in the central reading room.
  • Display of daily newspapers on the reading desk.
  • Provision of using journals and periodicals on requirement. The Library is kept open throughout the year except on public holidays and puja vacation.

Library Rules:

  • Students are not allowed to bring their bags, files and personal books inside the library.
  • Books are issued from 10 am to 3 pm from Monday to Friday and 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday.
  • Books lost, defaced or damaged in any way shall have to be replaced by the person who last borrowed it.
  • Books are not to be taken out of the library unless they have been issued.
  • Silence has to be maintained in and around the library at all times.

2. Book Bank :

The College has plans to build a book bank mainly for helping the poor and S.C./S.T. students.

3. Govt. Scholarship :

Govt. Scholarship is recommended every year for the students belonging to S.C./S.T. Category. The college also gives Concession to deserving students.

4. N. S. S :

Admission to N.S.S.is open to all the students of the college. Interested students are advised to contact the N.S.S. programme.

5. Remedial Coaching:

Cluny Women's College has been conducting free Remedial Coaching to the students belonging to S.C./S.T. category and Minority Community since the year 2008.

6. Entry in Services:

Free Coaching is offered to the candidates belonging to S.C./S.T. category and Minority Community for various competitive examinations

7. Cultural Programs:

The college organizes an Annual Cultural Meet for the students. Participation of maximum number of students is encouraged, while attendance is compulsory.

8. Career Oriented Programmes:

Apart from the regular degree course, the college offers career oriented program (COP) in :

  1. Communicative Functional English.
